Nowadays art seems to be only about making a statement, Which in tern leads to bad art. Art standards are not objective. The golden ratio is a great example of transcendant beauty. I don't know a single person who does not find flowers beautiful. The golden ratio is everywhere and has existed since nature has so it is a universal standard of beauty.
